I have devoted my efforts almost exclusively to the defense of the American aerospace industry — airlines, manufacturers of engines, avionics, pilots, airframes, etc. They say that I have tried more 747 cases than anyone else; I know that I have lost the biggest one of all — In Re Air Disaster at Lockerbie, Scotland, where I represented Pan American World Airways and all of the other defendants. Clinton Coddington, who was a Captain in the Army Air Corps stationed at Hickam Field at the time of the attack, later became a general in the Air Force. 2906 Perryman, Michael Strange Defeat - The Fall of France NM
Avalanche Press N.D. First Edition; Various Boxed As New with no dust jacket
Boxed war game. In the spring of 1940, the French Army, generally believed to be the best in the world, again faced her mortal enemy, the German Army. With the last war scarcely 20 years past, this one seemed destined to develop along similar lines. British forces came ashore in strength and both nations made a show of cooperating. Few believed that Belgium could stay out of the conflict, but her leaders continued to act as if it was possible. When the attack finally came, the speed and ferocity of modern warfare overwhelmed the Dutch and Belgian armies in the first few days and the French and British not long after. Air power, paratroopers and massed armor caught the Allies flat-footed and unable to effectively respond. In six short weeks two more countries fell under Nazi control, the French Army was defeated and the British ejected from the continent. None could have foreseen this strange defeat just a few short weeks before.Strange Defeat is a sequel to Defiant Russia and Red Vengeance. Like those games, it’s designed as an easy to learn, fun game. The map portrays the Netherlands, Belgium, western Germany and northern France. ; Video Game; 9.25 X 6.25 X 1.25 inches

2907 Persico, Joseph E. My Enemy, My Brother Men and Days of Gettysburg
Viking Adult 1977 0670498610 First Edition Hardcover Near Fine in Near Fine dust jacket Signed by Author
Author signed bookplate. Also has former owners bookplate neatly placed. Dust Jacket now in Mylar Protective Cover. Beautiful scarce collectors grade copy of this book. In July 1863 the invading Army of Northern Virginia, confident from its victory at Chancellorsville, unexpectedly encountered the Army of the Potomac, still without a general Lincoln could trust, at a small town in Pennsylvania. And there, among the verdant hills, rich fields, and sparkling brooks around Gettysburg, the two armies slaughtered each other in fearful numbers. My Enemy, My Brother is a remarkable re-creation of that battle, told not as military strategists have told it, but the way soldiers, doctors, shopkeepers, farmers, and wives lived it. Drawn from the letters, diaries, and memoirs of the people at Gettysburg, Persico's powerful work chronicles the passions and beliefs, the day-to-day routines, the pain and the terror of those caught up in the epic conflict that, for thousands, became their last role on earth. ; 1.2 x 9.5 x 6.5 Inches; 252 pages; Signed by Author
