This is an original copy of the 1916 Boyscout Handbook in very poor condition but complete. Back cover has ad and the standard cover. The pages are all there but several in front are loose with tears and detached from binding. As you can see from the scan the cover is work, broken in places, and tattared. Back is some better but very tattered. some of spine is missing. Book is in a box and could be a rebind/restoration project. Scarce if not rare. ; Illustrations

This is a photocopy of a set of 4 booklets assembled as reprints of the Walk Behind tractor. Photocopies may have some diagrams or images/figures occluded due to it being a copy. Assembler was a specialist in manuals for David Bradley tractors. The set includes 14 page booklet on the Transmission (removal, disassembly, replacement of seals and important adjustments including trouble shooting). A 19 page booklet of Operating instructions, Maintenance and service lubrication chart, attachments, Parts list for hubs, wheels and fuel tank assembly, parts list, clutch, etc. A 15 page booklet on setting up and operating instructions for the Speed Changer and Reverse Attachment parts list and numbers, a fourth 19 page booklet on on motor and handle assembly with parts list and numbers. There is some duplication of information between the four booklets but all have critical data for the David Bradley walk behind tractor. This set is a must have for restorers and collectors. Restored Leather binding. About 1 " of top of title page has been cut out leaving only "Of the Church" showing and remainder of title page with publisher, etc is intact. Restoration is with original leather superimposed over the new with gold diamond inset retained. Pages evenly cut after book survived a fire in the 1970's. "The fifth booke is concerning the divers, degrees, ordrs, and calling of those men, to whom, the government of the Church is committed. consisting of 59 chapters. Appendix has three parts (part 1 is 133 pg, part 2 is 62 pages, and part 3, 47 pages) contayning a defenfe of such partes and paffages of the former foure bookes, as have beene eyther excepted againft, or wrefted to the maintainance of rfemifh errors, divided into three parts" Top of title page has been cut. Pages in very good condition with no marks or damage. May be errors in paging.Richard Field (1561-1616) was an English ecclesiological theologian associated with the work of Richard Hooker. Field's principal work, Of the Church, Five Bookes, was first published in London in 1606, printed by Humfrey Lownes and dedicated to the archbishop of Canterbury, Richard Bancroft. Very nice presentation of this controversial work.. Extremely Rare. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall;

"William Archer Rutherfoord Goodwin (June 18, 1869 – September 7, 1939) (or W.A.R. Goodwin as he preferred or "the Doctor" was an Episcopal priest, historian, and author. As the rector of Bruton Parish Church, Goodwin began the 20th century preservation and restoration effort which resulted in Colonial Williamsburg in Virginia. He is thus sometimes called "the Father of the Restoration of Colonial Williamsburg." Using information gathered from town and church records, Goodwin successfully led completion of the church's restoration in 1907, the 300th anniversary of the establishment of the Episcopal Church in America at nearby Jamestown. Orange cover, no dust. Inscribed in November 1958 and signed by author. Born 1 February 1763 in County Down, Ireland. Immigrated to the United States in 1807, settling in western Pennsylvania. In 1809, Campbell published The Declaration and Address of the Christian Association of Washington, a document stating his ideas about how the Christian faith should be practiced.It was a starting point for the Campbell–Stone Movement, which led to development of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), the Churches of Christ and the Christian churches and churches of Christ. In 1812, Campbell joined his son Alexander and began practicing baptism by immersion.Shortly after his oldest son, Alexander Campbell, was ordained in 1812, Thomas began playing a supporting role to Thomas was generally less radical than his son, and was a stabilizing influence on the movement.Thomas died on 4 January 1854 in Bethany, West Virginia and was buried next to his wife in the Campbell family cemetery. Thomas and Alexander Campbell were the most prominent leaders of the Disciples of Christ movement of the early 19th century. The group was committed to restoring primitive Christianity. It merged with the Christians (Stone Movement) in 1832 to form what is now described as the American Restoration Movement (also known as the Stone-Campbell Restoration Movement). Other prominent individuals in the Restoration Movement included Barton W. Stone, Walter Scott and "Raccoon" John Smith.; Signed by Author
