Triggers, plain, double, simple set, bouble set, single set, Bill, Pryor Mt.
3 Bill, Pryor Mt. Triggers, plain, double, simple set, bouble set, single set
Author 1991 PhotoCopy Only; Photocopy Manila Folder or Binder Very Good with no dust jacket
Photocopy only of rare booklet in a manila folder on building triggers with measurements and what appears to be exact scaled diagrams for building various triggers. These schematics appear to be for early flintlock and percussion type rifles. There is a page showing the various weapons that used set triggers including: Crossbow, Wheellock, Jaeger, Long Rifle including Kentucky, Plains Rifle, and Sporting Rifle. The specific schematics that has the measurements do not name the rifle, but measurements are given for the Single Set Trigger, the Double Set trigger, and illustrations of Double Trigger, Single set, and Compound Single Set. There is a page dedicated to the Hartford Sharps 1875 Sporting Rifle. The footnote at bottom of that page says "a later, very well made and designed set trigger, suitable for any black powder rifle with minor modifications". It is assumed that since many of the rifles made in the era of the rifles using these triggers may have been handmade thus fitting of the trigger sets were custom for many of the guns. This is a photocopy Only.; Illustrated; 4to 11" - 13" tall; PDF

The Church in the Fork A History of Historic Little Fork Church, Boyle, Andrew J.
4 Boyle, Andrew J. The Church in the Fork A History of Historic Little Fork Church
Culpeper, Va Little Fork Preservation Committee 1983 First Edition; First Impression Hardcover Very Good with no dust jacket
Red cover with gilt print. Numerous surname references. A history of the church which is located in Culpeper, Va. Gift inscription in front. Little Fork Church, St. Mark's Parish, is Culpeper County's only Colonial church. It was ordered into existence in 1731 as a "chapel of ease" within the Little Fork between the Rappahannock and Hazel Rivers by Governor Spotswood. Services at Little Fork ceased at the onset of the Civil War. Early in the war, the church grounds were used as a drill field by the "Little Fork Rangers", more correctly known as Co. D 4th Virginia Cavalry. Later, Union troops quartered at the church destroyed most of the interior furnishings for firewood in the cold winter of 1863, leaving only the shell of the building and the reredos on the east wall. Jefferson and Monticello The Biography of a Builder, Mclaughlin, Jack

Henry Holt and Co. 1988 0805004823 / 9780805004823 First Edition; First Impression Hardcover Very Good in Very Good dust jacket Signed by Author
Author inscribed and signed bookplate. Dust Jacket now in Mylar Protective Cover. Beautiful scarce collectors grade copy of this book. This book, a National Book Award nominee in 1988, is the life of Thomas Jefferson as seen through the prism of his love affair with Monticello. For over half a century, it was his consuming passion, his most serious amusement. With a sure command of sources and skilled intuitive understanding of Jefferson, McLaughlin crafts and uncommon portrait of builder and building alike. En route he tells us much about life in Virginia; about Monticello’s craftsmen and how they worked their materials; about slavery, class, and family; and, above all, about the multiplicity of domestic concerns that preoccupied this complex man. It is and engaging and incisive look at the eighteenth-century mind: systematic, rational, and curious, but also playful, comfort-loving, and amusing. Ultimately, it provides readers with great insight into daily life in Colonial and Federal America. ; 1.3 x 8.8 x 6.1 Inches; 289 pages; Signed by Author

16 No Author Listed Naoussa, The Bandits Passed Through Here
Thessalonika Information Office, C. army Corps 1949 First Edition; First Impression Paperback Very Good with No dust jacket as issued
Tan cover with black print, Burning building in background. A pictrorial history after the Civil War in Greece 1945-1949. Written in Greek and English. Book now in archival sleeve to protect condition. The Greek Civil War was fought from 1946–49 between the Greek government army—backed by Great Britain and the United States—and the Democratic Army of Greece (DSE), the military branch of the Greek Communist Party (KKE), backed by Yugoslavia and Albania as well as Bulgaria. The result was the defeat of the Communist insurgents by the government forces. Founded by the Communist Party of Greece and funded by Communist nations such as Yugoslavia, many of the insurgents operating within the Democratic Army of Greece were partisans who had fought against German and Italian occupation forces during the Second World War. The civil war was the result of a highly polarized struggle between left and right that started in 1943 and targeted the power vacuum that the end of German-Italian occupation during World War II had created. Numerous Black and White Photos of the destruction. Rare. ; Photographs; Oblong 8vo 8" to 9"
