Jackson, the youngest of three sisters, was born Anna June Jackson in Millvale, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Stella Germaine (née Murray) and John Ivan Jackson, a barber who ran a beauty parlor. Jackson's mother was of Irish Catholic background and Jackson's father, whose original name was John Jchekovitch, immigrated from Croatia in 1918.[2][3] Jackson trained at New York City's Neighborhood Playhouse and The Actor's Studio. She made her Broadway debut in 1945. Her theatre credits include Summer and Smoke, Arms and the Man, Luv, The Waltz of the Toreadors, Mr. Peters' Connections, and Lost in Yonkers. She was nominated for the 1956 Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play for Paddy Chayefsky's Middle of the Night. Eli Herschel Wallach (born December 7, 1915) is an American film, television and stage actor, who gained fame in the late 1950s. For his performance in Baby Doll he won a BAFTA Award for Best Newcomer and a Golden Globe nomination. One of his most famous roles is that of Tuco in The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966). Other roles include his portrayal of Don Altobello in The Godfather Part III, Calvera in The Magnificent Seven, and Arthur Abbott in The Holiday. Wallach has received BAFTA Awards, Tony Awards and Emmy Awards for his work. Wallach also has a cameo as a liquor store owner in Clint Eastwood's Mystic River. Dust is slightly soiled.
