Willett (1803-1895) was the son of the great Revolutionary soilder Colonel Marinus Willett who was in charge of the Mohawk Valley. Colonel Willett turned down a commission from the President to fight in the Indian wars as "he felt we should not be fighting the indians". This family attitude may have been carried on by William who chronicled the mission by the Moravians to the Indians. Scarce if not rare.; 208 pages
