This is about the 66th Infantry regiment of the 71st Infantry Division and particulary the 3rd Batallion thereof. These young men learned well o fthe Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse- conquest, War, Famine, and Death in the minefields, battfields and river crossings of tghe Siegfried Line in the Rhineland, in Hesse, Thuringia, Bavaria, and Upper Austria. They say death and extreme human cruelty in the rail yards and camps at Straubing, below Regensburg, at Wels and Gunskirchen in ways they could not describe. A detailed history obtained from bits and pieces of several hundred officers and men of this regiment.
