Looks new. Dust in mylar cover. Charles Todd Quintard (December 22, 1824 – February 15, 1898)[2] was an American physician and clergyman who became the second bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Tennessee and the first Vice-Chancellor of the University of the South. An adherent of the Oxford Movement (1833-1845), Quintard described himself as a "high churchman" and a "ritualist", identifying with Anglicans who were reviving ritual practices associated, in the popular mind, with Roman Catholicism.[4] In fact, the Oxford Movement leaders attempted to call the Anglican Church to her first principles and roots in history and tradition. To what degree Quintard was actually a Ritualist is a matter to debate.; 9 X 6.30 X 1.20 inches; 285 pages

Winter War, The Soviet Attack on Finland, 1939-1940, Engle, Eloise & Lauri Paananen
165 Engle, Eloise & Lauri Paananen Winter War, The Soviet Attack on Finland, 1939-1940
Stackpole Books 1992 0811724336 / 9780811724333 First Edition; First Impression Paperback Near Fine with No dust jacket as issued Illustrated by Caroline Miller
Paperback edition of Engle and Paananen's authoritative account of the Russo-Finnish Winter War. The Winter War was a military conflict between the Soviet Union and Finland in 1939–1940. It began with the Soviet invasion of Finland on 30 November 1939 (three months after the outbreak of World War II), and ended with the Moscow Peace Treaty on 13 March 1940. The League of Nations deemed the attack illegal and expelled the Soviet Union from the League on 14 December 1939. The Soviets possessed more than three times as many soldiers as the Finns, thirty times as many aircraft, and a hundred times as many tanks. The Red Army, however, had been crippled by Soviet leader Joseph Stalin's Great Purge of 1937. With more than 30,000 of its officers executed or imprisoned, including most of those of the highest ranks, the Red Army in 1939 had many inexperienced senior and mid-level officers.[43][44] Because of these factors, and high morale in the Finnish forces, Finland repelled Soviet attacks for several months, much longer than the Soviets expected. An excellent read.; Stackpole Military History Series; 8.82 X 6.10 X 0.61 inches; 192 pages

Sherman's Mississippi Campaign, Foster, Buck T.
173 Foster, Buck T. Sherman's Mississippi Campaign
University Alabama Press 2006 0817315195 / 9780817315191 First Edition Hardcover Near Fine in Near Fine dust jacket
Looks new unread. Dust Jacket now in Mylar Protective Cover.With the fall of Vicksburg to Union forces in mid-1863, the Federals began work to extend and consolidate their hold on the lower Mississippi Valley. As a part of this plan, Major General William Tecumseh Sherman set out from Vicksburg on February 3, 1864, with an army of some 25,000 infantry and a battalion of cavalry. They expected to be joined by another Union force moving south from Memphis and supported themselves off the land as they traveled due east across Mississippi. Sherman entered Meridian on February 14 and thoroughly destroyed its railroad facilities, munitions plants, and cotton stores, before returning to Vicksburg. Though not a particularly effective campaign in terms of enemy soldiers captured or killed, it offers a rich opportunity to observe how this large-scale raid presaged Sherman’s Atlanta and Carolina campaigns, revealing the transformation of Sherman’s strategic thinking. ; 1.1 x 9.1 x 6.1 Inches; 232 pages;
The rehearsal for the March to the Sea.
