Walk This Way The Autobiography of Aerosmith (Author Signed), Aerosmith & Stephen Davis
14 Aerosmith & Stephen Davis Walk This Way The Autobiography of Aerosmith (Author Signed)
Avon Books 1997 0380975947 / 9780380975945 First Edition; First Printing Hardcover Near Fine in Near Fine dust jacket
Signed by Tyler, Hamilton, Whitford, and Kremer. Beautiful scarce collectors grade copy of this book. Dust Jacket now in Mylar Protective Cover. From Aerosmith's heyday in the late 1970s, which they spent "gacked to the nines" (as lead singer Steven Tyler puts it), to the Aerosmith of today--clean, sober, and adored by millions--the band has a long, hard history. Walk This Way chronicles the whole story: drugs, booze, and all.Prefaced with the now familiar rock-star "intervention," when Steven Tyler's loved ones cornered him in his manager's office in 1986, the autobiography traces Aerosmith's twisted road, from their New Hampshire roots to their success in Boston to the worldwide fame that they long craved and currently enjoy. Tyler kicks off this rock & roll exposé, briefly recounting the history of his ancestors in Italy and sharing incidents from his own Northeast childhood. The book is written in interview style, with all five band members talking candidly about the good times--and the bad. We also hear from girlfriends, wives, friends, and various hangers-on. ; Photographs; 9.40 X 6.40 X 1.50 inches; 513 pages; Signed by All Authors

Grey cloth and Red 1/4 leather binding. Has trio of confederate flags on front. See scan. Has former owners name and a book plate in front otherwise fine condition. This is a reprint of the 1892 edition. A sample of the text: After the retreat of the Confederates, McClellan's plans were pushed with more vigor, and by the end of March the mass of the Federal troops had been transferred to Fortress Monroe. As the Federal plans were gradually revealed to the Confederates, dispositions were made to meet them. General Johnston retired first behind the Rapidan, and when, early in April, there was no longer room to doubt the destination of the Federal forces, the mass of his army was ordered to the Peninsula, where General Magruder with 11,000 men 1 was meanwhile delaying, with admirable energy and skill, the advance of McClellan. Magruder, finding that his most advanced line, extending across the Peninsula from the mouth of the Warwick by Young's Mill to Harwood's Mill and Ship Point, required more force than he had at command, had selected, as a second position, a line extending from Yorktown by way of the Warwick River to Minor's farm and thence to Mulberry Island Point. He garrisoned Gloucester Point on the north bank of the York, and thus disputed the passage of that river at its narrowest part. Magruder thus describes his position: 2 " Warwick River rises very near York River and about one and a half miles to the right of Yorktown. Yorktown and redoubts Nos. 4 and 5, united by long curtains and flanked by rifle-pits, form the left of the line, until at the commencement of the military road it reaches Warwick River, here a sluggish and boggy stream, twenty or thirty yards wide, and running through a dense wood fringed by swamps. Along this riverare five dams — one at Wynne's Mill, one at Lee's Mill, and three constructed by myself. The effect of these dams is to back up the water along the course of the river, so that for nearly three fourths of its distance its... ; Civil War Heritage Series; Maps; 1.2 x 9.1 x 6.2 Inches; 537 pages

When traveling amongst the racing circles of drivers and fans alike, the mere mention of Bobby Allison causes excitement. And, rightfully so, too. He's not only one of NASCAR's 50 Greatest Drivers, the 1983 Winston Cup Series champion and tied (so they say) for third on the all-time win list at 84 victories--he is a true legend of the sport. His accomplishments on the track are still heralded and referred to as reference points in many record books. Bobby is a self-made legend--not much ever was handed to him that he didn't earn through talent and determination. Few will doubt or offer debate that, too. He has so many stories to tell that sharing them at only racing banquets, among friends and the fornutate fans who happen to run into him just doesn't seem fair. This book is a collection of his favorite stories and happenings that occurred during his illustrious career. And, the best part about all these stories is they are all told in his own words. When Bobby ! Allison tells a story, people stop and listen. Some of Bobby Allison's favorite stories of his life and times - on and off the various tracks he thrilled so many fans - is now available for you to enjoy. If you're looking for a smile or laugh from a true racing legend, then this book is for you. ; 4to 11" - 13" tall; 200 pages; Signed by Biographee
